JULY/AUGUST NEWSLETTER
Summer is here and school holidays are on their way………….let’s
hope the weather is kind to us so our Little Lambs can play outside and enjoy their 6 weeks holiday. We would like to say GOOD LUCK to all our Little Lambs who will be going to school in September.
We will miss you but look forward to seeing you from time to time to see how grown up you all become. J We
often see our previous Little Lambs who have since gone to school and feel very proud to have been part of all our past and
present children. OPENING HOURS May I remind you of

success. A total of £177.75 was raised. Thank you to all of you who attended and

Essex = 125 miles.Who would have thought they
would have got so far. We are in the process of awarding our Little Lambs, with a prize, for those balloons
that were found. WISH LIST Our wish list this newsletter includes any building materials
and equipment for our Home Corner as we are talking about Construction. Also junk modelling items, egg cartons, cereal boxes etc.Thanking you in advance. PHOTOGRAPHS We have George Upson coming to Little Lambs again on the 20th and 21st
July. If you would like to join us please let us know. We will be doing after school
sittings also for siblings who are at school. Please let all your friends know who may be interested……if
you wish further details please contact Kathryn. SICKNESS We will only be charging half the session fees for illnesses,
as long as you let us know. If we are not informed, we will need to charge for the whole session.
Also, if your child has had the sickness bug, please can we remind you that they cannot come back to Nursery within
48 hours from their last bout. This is a health and safety requirement. SUMMER HOLIDAY Anyone who hasn’t had a form for any sessions needed during
the Summer Holidays please ask a member of staff. These are very important to us as we need to be able
to accommodate our children who need extra holiday cover. Without this form we cannot guarantee places. CLOTHING Please could we remind parents of those children who are being
potty trained if you could make sure that you send your child with plenty of changes of clothing. Our Little
Lambs are bound to have accidents and if they have some of their own clothes to change into they feel much more comfortable.
We have a limited amount of spare clothes but it is always nicer to have their own. SUNCREAM/HATS Can we remind parents to send your child with sun cream
and sun hats. We are going out earlier so we can avoid the main heat of the sun
but it is always good practice to protect even when the sun is not at its hottest. Also, a sun hat is essential
to protect our children. Therefore, would you provide both, please. It would be most
helpful if you could apply the sun cream to your child before they arrive at Nursery if it is at all possible.
Sun cream is more effective 30 minutes before going out in the sun. This saves time and enables
the children to have more time outside. Also, please have all items named to avoid loss. Would
you please check the date on all sun creams as doctors are saying that out of date creams are less affective towards the suns
UV rays. We would not like our little ones to get burnt. HOLIDAY SLIPS Just
a reminder that holiday slips are available for any child who will be away during term times. We require
these details so we can have the information to hand and also to work out what sessions are required by existing Lambs.
Thank you for your continuing support. TESCO VOUCHERS Another thank you for all the vouchers that have been handed in to us this season – with your
help we collected over 2000 vouchers this year, which has enabled us to order a new CD/Radio player, a much needed replacement
for our old one. We have also been able to bank some vouchers, so we have a good start for next year. INVOICES As you know we are only a small business. It is very important
to us therefore to have all accounts settled by the 22nd July. Your help would be very
much appreciated. RIKE REHER You may have noticed an addition to our Nursery for a few weeks, Rike. Rike has been in this country
for roughly a year, studying at Boston College. As she wants to work within the Child Care sector, she
very kindly helped us on a voluntary basis. Alas, Rike has now returned to her family in Berlin, but we
will keep in touch with her and keep her updated on Little Lambs. AND FINALLY… We would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to Andrea and Karl on their new addition.
A beautiful baby girl by the name of Hollie, a sister for Leon. Xx Thank you again to you all for all your support
